Night Theatre at Werribee Park
Throughout April, Essence Productions will be hosting a series of highly entertaining interactive plays at Werribee Park Mansion and Werribee Park Historic Farm. Every audience member will have a front row seat as they are thrusted into the middle of an evolving storyline, filled with frights and loads of comedy.
There are two plays that will be running during April:
What Was That?
What Was That? Is set in the 19th century and based on the true story of the Chirnside family. Fictional characters, Maggie, the head maid, and Mr Duncan, the butler, welcome you to Werribee Park Mansion as they await their new master’s arrival but what takes place in the meantime is a series of hilarious antics.
Down to Earth
This play is performed at the Werribee Park Historic Farm where the audience arrives as ‘new workers’ to the farm. Taking place in 1862, the audience will be exposed to the realities of 19th century rural Victorian life, including the looming threat of Black Anny – an evil hag who can strike at any moment.
