Chirnside Park set to re-open

Chirnside Park is set to re-open to the public after an $11.75 million redevelopment.

The venue will be officially christened on Saturday March 24th when the first football game is played there.

The project was funded by multiple sources including a $1.5 million grant made available through the Victorian Government’s Growing Suburbs Fund.

The Chirnside Park Hub now includes:

  • A regional level pavilion
  • Facilities for women’s football
  • A new grandstand
  • A commercial kitchen and kiosk
  • Multi-purpose social, meeting and community spaces
  • Media rooms
  • Coaches spaces
  • Improved car parking

The venue will be able to host programs from The North Melbourne Football Club’s ‘The Huddle’ community initiative as well as AFL and cricket pathway programs.
