Residents to have say in A-League bid
Wyndham residents will have the opportunity to share their thoughts on some of the details for the city’s A-League bid.
Western Melbourne Group, with the backing of Wyndham City, has been shortlisted in the race to win one of two new licenses from Football Federation Australia to enter the Hyundai A-League’s 2019/20 season.
A multi-million-dollar precinct has been planned for Tarneit, which will include a 15,000-seat purpose-built stadium.
Next month, the first fan forum will be held, where people can come along, meet the team behind the bid and ask questions. Fans can also fill out an online survey where they can have their say on possible team names and colours.
Former Socceroo captain, Steve Hovart, will also be at the fan forum.
The fan forum will be held at the Encore Events Centre, 80 Derrimut Rd, Hoppers Crossing, from 7pm on Monday 13th August 2018.
