Wyndham’s B24 Liberator Memorial has officially received museum accreditation from Museums Australia (Victoria).
The B24 Liberator Memorial joins just 75 other accredited museums in Victoria.
The memorial, first established in 1988 by a group of ex-RAAF personnel, honours the air and ground crews involved in B-24 operations in Australia during WWII.
The museum’s founders have spent countless hours restoring Australia’s only surviving B-24 Liberator bomber, which is housed at the Werribee Satellite Aerodrome.
The effort and passion that has gone into the project can be seen by anyone who visits the museum.
The B24 Liberator Memorial is located at Farm Rd and Princes Highway, 15 minutes’ drive from Grace.
